Potted Hamburgers (aka the dinner that keeps on giving)

Why is she calling a hamburger the dinner that keeps on giving, you may be asking yourself. The answer is becasue this can be made multiple times a night, so who ever wants one can have it fresh. Its one pot, with oil and onions, so the cleanup is easy and it can be heated over and over until the meat is gone.
Also its mighty easy, I think i had it 4 times in the past 2 weeks

What you need:

Hamburgers, or sliders. (and buns) (Of course its better with homemade burgers, but storebought works just fine
7-8 small WHITE onions, or 3-4 big ones
olive oil
Salt
Peperika (optional)
Allspice (optional)

What you need to do:

1) peel and slice your onions

2) Put them in a large pot, with a thin layer of olive oil, salt, and some peprika and allspice if youd like (About 2 shakes of each)

3) Put the pot on your stove, on a high fire. Let the oil get hot and mix the onions up. Cook for about 7-10 minutes, until the onions caramelize. Use this time to heat up your buns

4) Throw the burgers (or sliders) right on top of the onions, and push them down with a spatula. Hamburgers cook for about 5 minutes on each side, sliders for about 2 minutes on each side. You can cut into the burger to see if its ready (brown inside=ready)

5)Once the bottom is througlly browned, flip the burger over. Try and flip it WITH the onions, so some go on top and cook with the burger. Push them down with the spatula again.

6) When both sides are browned, and the inside is cooked, put the burger with the onions straight onto a bun. I like it with mayonnaise and ketchup, but that parts totallly your call!
