Twinkies- Cuz how are we gonna live without them??

Okay let's be honest; no one cares the slightest bit that Hostess is out of business. Twinkies aren't good. There I said it. If you were searching food blogs for recipes last week, you'd have found at least one Twinkie recipe, since all the ghettos are so devastated that there gone. I found one, and had a few hours to kill before Homeland started at 8, so i decided to try it out.

It was alot of fun, since I had Esther Chera, the Silvers (Margeret AND Renee), and Daniel around to help out. I personally dont care for the taste, and dont even try if you dont have a pastry bag and a piping head, but if your a Twinkie person, then by all means get er doneeeeeeee.

Heres where I found this recipie: http://leitesculinaria.com/71100/recipes-homemade-twinkies.html

I''m not going to type this whole recipe over, because I posted it up there, but I wil include some pictures of my process. If you do this, make sure you have some time because filling these things isn't easy! good luccccck

My "single use twinkie pans". They were actually really cool

Melting the butter and milk!!! so exciting

Peaking the egg whites with my mixer from the year of the flood. If anyone would like to donate some dinero for my kitchen aid, Cheech is collecting

The batter in the pan. C'mon thats cool!!

VoilĂ , sponge cakes in a very strange shape

Poking the holes in the Twinkies to fill, while Daniel makes the frosting. How cute are we!!

Last but not least, some major weirdness going on with the mixer and the frosting while my back is turned. Enjoy it ya'll, Happy Thanksgiving. (I wont be cooking, instead I'll be doing school work)
